“Information on the Compliance with International Human Rights Obligations in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2025” has been published

In accordance with the requirements of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Improvement of the Activities of the National Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights” dated December 10, 2018 and the Decree “On Approval of the National Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Human Rights” dated June 22, 2020, the Center has prepared the “Information on the Compliance with International Human Rights Obligations in the Republic of Uzbekistan”. This Information includes information on the implementation of the National Strategy of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Human Rights in 2025, the fulfillment of international human rights obligations, education in the field of human rights, and the main areas of activity in international cooperation, and was published in Uzbek and English.

In the Republic of Uzbekistan, reforms aimed at ensuring human rights and freedoms continued consistently and systematically in 2025. Along with priority goals such as economic growth, digitalization of public administration, strengthening political institutions, and reforming the judicial and legal system, significant positive changes were observed in the field of ensuring human rights. The information consists of six main sections and provides a detailed description of the results achieved and priority tasks in each area, using information provided by the chambers of the Oliy Majlis, more than 20 state bodies and organizations, and civil society institutions. This information is distributed to state bodies, ministries, departments, civil society institutions, and embassies of our country abroad in order to raise awareness of the state of compliance with international human rights obligations in Uzbekistan and to use them in their activities.

The information reflects Uzbekistan’s consistent policy aimed at harmonizing national legislation in the field of human rights with international standards, strengthening democratic institutions, and continuing active cooperation on a global scale.
