Human rights literature donated to country libraries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 21 February, the National Center for Human Rights of the Republic of Uzbekistan organized a Human Rights Literature Corner at the Alisher Navoi National Library of Uzbekistan.

Also on 22 February, books on the same topic were donated to the Syrdarya Regional Information and Library Center.

The actions were held as part of the Human Rights Week, which includes both educational and legal events.

By the resolution of the President of the country from 7 February 2023, the National Program for Education in the Field of Human Rights was approved in Uzbekistan. The document identifies important measures aimed at further improving human rights education in our country and the effective implementation of the tasks identified in the fourth stage of the World Program for Human Rights Education.

In this regard, at the round table on the topic "New Uzbekistan and Human Rights", held in the Syrdarya Regional Information and Library Center, it was noted that the funds of the information and library centers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan and all regions in the future will be constantly and systematically replenished by the National Center for Scientific -legal resources on human rights.

The National Center for Human Rights provides educational books in the field of human rights free of charge to the libraries of the regions of our country. These are literature on the rights of the child, collections on women’s rights, books on the rights of the disabled, brochures from the series "New Uzbekistan and Human Rights", new issues of the magazine "Democratization and Human Rights".
