Ethical rules approved
The Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Uzbekistan has registered the “Ethical rules for the creation, implementation, and use of artificial intelligence-based solutions”.
This document establishes principles of legality, the priority of individual, social, and state interests, transparency, accountability, responsibility and oversight, fairness and the exclusion of discrimination, openness and transparency, data protection, reliability, and security in the use of artificial intelligence technologies and systems. It also sets the requirement not to rely solely on the conclusions of information systems operating on artificial intelligence technologies when making certain decisions, such as those having legal significance, affecting human rights and freedoms, and in the field of healthcare (disease diagnosis, determination of treatment methods, etc.).
Developers and those implementing artificial intelligence technologies and systems must provide users with information on the purposes for which they may be used and when their use is prohibited, that decisions or conclusions based on artificial intelligence may not always be accurate, and that the results may be used for advisory or informational purposes.
